So yes. I haven’t been reading much with my last deadline for my [redacted]. But I turned it in (for this cycle) and have been reading for JOY and it has been GLORIOUS. I missed the days when I’d tear through books in 24 hours. The past few days has been reminiscent of that and it’s brought me so much happiness. I was a reader before I was a writer so getting lost in books is one of my favorite things ❤️ I know you can relate.

Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez was a treat! If you like cute banter and a very will-they-or-won’t-they get together scenario I’d recommend this. I’ve read all of Abby’s books so far and she is an auto buy author for me. So much so that I got this in hardcover (???) when I’ve been seeing it at like Target and Costco on paperback — like a simultaneous release? But no matter. Grab this one if you love romance! It’s a litttttttle spicy but not much.

I haven’t been around lately because I’ve been working on my manuscript and not reading as much as I would like. Revising a book consumes you. You have to play with all the pieces of the story to make sure if you alter one then you can alter another. It’s a huge balancing act. And I am terrible at it. Sometimes when I’m drafting I completely forget what I’ve written and it becomes a surprise later. 😆

But I turned it in and have been taking naps all day (with Figgy) and am looking forward to sewing projects!!

I have another project I want to work on but after a little break. 😊 hope all is well in your corner of the world!
